Never trying must be worse. That said, I hate failing at anything and I hate losing, maybe I’m overly competitive. I did read a good quote this week though. “It’s not the winning that matters, it’s who you beat” I guess coming second in a sprint against Mo Farrah or Hussain Bolt would be a win for most people, but only if they try.
